Dear Ogabbay,
Google sees no sites that are linking to saleto.com
<://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&q=link:saleto.com/>.
You could see it for yourself by typing in the term "link:" and then
the address of the site.
It is possible, that saleto.com is linked or registered in some sites, but:
- These sites have not been crawled yet by Google/there is a glich in
Google regarding the backlinks that would be corrected in the next
crawl, or
- These sites have violated Google's TOS; are "link farms" or search
engine spammers and "real" backlinks.
It is worth mentioning, that a search for the appearance of the name
of the site itself <://www.google.com/search?num=50&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&sa=G&q=%22saleto.%2Bcom%22>
brings up some 70 links to the site, most (if not all) are
registrations in search engines and link farms; and:
- Some of them link to www.saleto.com
- Most of them go through an affiliate programme redirect
(RevenuePilot, but there are more).
In order to enhance your backlinks, a webmaster should find "real"
quality sites linking to them, not only search engine spammers and
link farms. Working on a website is like working in a real, brick and
mortar, business: you cannot expect to be listed unless you try to do
some PR for yourself: offering quality content (that people would link
to), appearing in the media; etc.
I hope this answered your question. Please contact me if you need any
clarification on this answer before you rate it.
Search strategy:
search for the link - link:saleto.com
Search for reference to the site in text -
://www.google.com/search?num=50&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&sa=G&q=%22saleto.%2Bcom%22 |
