Scott is one of the leading counties in the production of strawberries. In 1934 a total of 209 farms reported that 356 acres produced 351,525 quarts of berries. [49] There were 3,030 bales of cotton produced on 7,535 acres in 1939. [50] http://www.rootsweb.com/~arscott/scotthis2.htm Ashish |

Ashish... this is actually not the answer we were looking for. In the meantime, we found our answer an historical edition of the Statistical Abstract of the United States, since we wanted for the whole of the US and not Scott, wherever or whatever that is. We're wondering.. are you only using on-line sources? because the answer, 271,013 quarts, was found in a print source. Thanks for trying, though.
