Hello kentheb-ga,

According to the University of Wisconsin ? Milwaukee, ?Founding
Industries Of Wisconsin Project?, Walter Stiemke was the founder of
Trackson. Trackson was purchased by Caterpillar in 1951.

Walter Stiemke was an industrialist who built three successful
engineering companies in his lifetime. His wife Olive was at one time
the society reporter for the Milwaukee Sentinel.

According to the following link, Walter Stiemke was the head engineer
of Trackson and the company was owned by Arnie Frahlic:

?About this same time, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Trackson Company
was making a track system which replaced the wheels on Fordson
Tractors and other wheeled machines to give them increased flotation
and traction. The head engineer of Trackson was Walter Stiemke.
Stiemke recognized the potential of combining the Trackson track
system with the Lessman lifting mechanism for digging or excavating.
Stiemke convinced the owner of Trackson, Arnie Frahlic, to buy Lessman
Manufacturing to pursue a marriage of the two systems for the machine
sales opportunity and the earthmoving work Stiemke felt was possible.?

I'd seen that chart 3 to 4 times before, in my search for the
founder(s), but I'd not thought to scroll to the right!
