Hello putco~
Here are some top respected organizations that work with children with
autism, stressing communication skills. I have read everything about
these organizations that a Google search will turn up.
The New England Center for Children (NECC)
http://www.necc.org
Since 1975, this private, non-profit center has been providing
state-of-the-art education and treatment for children with autism
spectrum disorder, pervasive developmental disorder (PDD), and
Asperger?s Syndrome. Provides small group and individual academic
instruction in the areas of English/Language Arts, History and Social
Sciences, Math, Science and Technology, and Reading. The Center is
recommended by the Yale Child Study Center.
May Institute:

Established in 1955, the May Institute is a private, non-profit group
that provides services to children and adolescents with autism, brain
injury, developmental, and behavioral disorders. They have five
schools for children with autism, and are pioneers in the study and
science of autism.
Perhaps not as impressive, but still excellent organizations,
recommended by experts:
Eden
http://www.edenservices.org/about_mstr.html
Established in 1975, Eden provides educational services for children
with autism. Each student's curriculum is tailored to his or her
specific needs and abilities and is based on annual assessments.
Bellefaire JCB
http://www.bellefairejcb.org/menu_monarch.htm
Bellefaire was founded in 1868 as an orphanage. Today, it?s a far more
diverse organization, and well accredited, too. They provide
individualized care for children with autism spectrum disorder.
Bellefaire was recently awarded a $50,000 grand from the Ohio
Developmental Disabilities Council.
Chileda
http://www.chileda.org/
Established in 1973, Chileda works with small numbers of autistic
children in order to provide individualized care and training.
Bancroft
http://www.bancroft.org/htdocs/html/Programs/prog-autism.html
Established in 1883, as one the first special education organizations,
Bancroft?s CARES program in Maine deals directly with language skills,
but a number of other schools and programs are offered, also.
Kind regards,
Kriswrite
