Stephen Francis Snodgrass, son of Rilla and Mark, was born Aug 12,
1978, and died May 4, 1997. He was living in Canfield, OH when he
died. I was his girlfriend at the time, and would like to visit his
grave. I've forgotten the location, but it would be along the OH-PA/WV
border, in a large cemetary. His plot is on a hillside. I'd like to
know the name and location of the cemetary, and a description or map
or something of his plot, if possible. Thank you.

I should have mentioned that website (
http://www.angelfire.com/me/rillas/page4.html ) in my initial post; I
have tried contacting his mother with both emails listed (rilla at
bigsky.net, and motherwitch at hotmail.com), but they both come back
undeliverable. My last contact information for his father is also
outdated.

D'oh! rilla at ixi.net also returns undeliverable, but I appreciate
the tip about Montana - I found her phone number in the white pages
and it hasn't been disconnected, so that might be a valid lead
(waiting for a return call). Anyone have a subscription to
Ancestry.com? I think they have Steve's death record, but I can't see
it without paying the $80 subscription fee. That would be silly, since
I could order the certificate for $15.

There is an e-mail link to your friend's mother on the following webpage:

http://www.angelfire.com/me/rillas/page4.html

Hope this helps.

Best of luck,
Buckram

I haven't located any information on your friend's grave, but I found
that you can order a copy of his death certificate from the Ohio
Department of Health for a modest fee:

http://www.odh.state.oh.us/VitStats/certified.htm

Although these certificates vary from state to state, they often
include enough information to allow you to contact those who knew your
friend, or who handled the procedures for deciding on his final
resting place.

Good luck.

Hello erinmae-ga,

Here are some more leads. It seems Rilla was in Montana in 1999-2000
and had a new e-mail address. Good luck.

June 26, 2000 Hastened To The Grave

Dear Rat Dog,
I just finished reading Jack Olsen's "Hastened To The Grave," about
your investigation into the "Foxglove" matter. Since he ended the book
before the trial, I'm wondering... Were any of them ever convicted of
murder? Did they go to prison? -- Rilla Surber, Butte, Montana

There was a Banner on her angelfire website:

http://www.christel.nu/psychic/

Her email address is on this page (psychic@christel.nu) and there is
also a form on the page where you can contact her.

Well, I have no way of knowing if the form I submitted went through,
but the email I sent to psychic@christel.nu came back undeliverable,
so that's 4 email addresses I've tried that don't work. Thanks for the
help... keep sending those suggestions!

Erin,

Hi... I know this is quite a ways after your original post, but I just
realized that tomorrow is Steve's 8th anniversary and I thought I'd do
a google search... and here I find you. Apropos, actually. This is
Danielle and though I have long since blocked out the memory of
everything, I think I can find the original obit that may give us some
clues. If you are still out there, email me back
