South Africa is not in ECOWAS

My guess is that there is no guideline that could possibly be helpful
to you. ECOWAS is too big an area; Pay scales vary widely from country
to country in West Africa. And even within a certain country, pay
varies widely dependent on the type of organization. An NA for a
foreign embassy would likely make many times that of an NA for a local
Internet cafe.

In any case, if an advanced English speaker is very important, you
would probably do well to narrow your search to the English-speaking
countries of ECOWAS - Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.
