Our town is proposing to add a driving range next to the local municipal golf
course. I own a driving range less than two miles from the proposed
site, and the proposed range will put me out of buisness. The town
wants my current property for soccer fields and they plan to get it by
putting me out of business. They had a chance to buy it last year
before I did. Is there a federal or Connecticute state law to protect
me from competition from local government run businesses? Can a
government business be created that will hurt a private business
nearby? Thank You
