Question ID: 365736
I am searching for a video card with an RF modulator that goes in a
computer and will output on UHF channels 14-78 and/or cable tv
channels and preferable has an F-connector (coax). It must not be an
external box, the modulated signal must have a selectable channel and
must come out the back of the computer.

It's to output to video distribution systems in bars with multiple
televisions. They don't like you going out on ch 2 or 3 because they
use that often for satellite / cable tv. We have a modulator which
takes video in and outputs on channel 14-84, but we would like this
without the external box.

Hi, sorry, RCA would not be adequate, it needs to be modulated RF out
on ch 14-78 selectable (minimum) on a coax cable (f-connector).
Sometimes it has to run a 100' or so, and this is the way their
systems are done; it is very odd to me that such a card doesn't exist.
Failing that it would be nice to find a video card which has modulated
ch3 or ch4 output.

Sorry, that should be "Failing that it would be nice to find a video
card which has modulated ch3 or ch4 output on an f-connector"

You're asking for a lot, and possibly something that could violate FCC
(if in US) regulations...
There are a LOT of VIVO cards (video in/video out), even those that
have a tuner. Are you aiming to broadcast to a station above channel 3
or 4 or do you want to view channels 14+ on a tv, but using a tuner in
a computer?

I'm not sure you're going to find what you're looking for, as you've
probably seen everything with TV in (including coax) and VIVO having
composite or S-video out which means the PC can change the channel...

What type of application would you use this for anyway?

Would you need something that outputs multiple feeds on multiple
channels or would RCA on Line1 or or Line2 of the TV be adequate?

It seems to me that either affixing an external RF modulator to the PC
(or inside the PC, if the RFM is small enough) will be the way to
go...
