a Fearless Fosdick Friday to you adventuristas,

granny was just checking out the glass armonica and wondered if they
ever found Gerhard Finkenbeiner or is he on a 'presumed dead' list?
I found a few links that say "the late Gerhard Finkenbeiner" but did
they actually find his body or did he get beamed up somewhere?

thanks, fp. yup, I found that reward story and this one entry at
slashdot.org from someone in Waltham saying there was a memorial
service a year later. I was looking for additional news stories and
reasons why after searching for so long they never found any part of
the wreckage. it's a mystery.

"Tragically, Gerhard Finkenbeiner disappeared. He was a licensed
pilot, and owned a small plane. One day, he said he was going to make
a flight, went out the door, took off, and was never seen again. There
was a memorial service for him maybe a year later."

and GF taught this woman to play the glass armonica. "She persuaded
Finkenbeiner to teach her how to play the instrument before he
disappeared in May 1999, believed lost in the crash of a light plane."
