Hi kentheb,

I have located the year Gates Iron Works was formed according to a
book on Allis-Chalmers. However, I have found no reference to the
founder of the company. If this information interests you, perhaps you
would like to decrease the price of this question according to the
information I can provide.

Please let me know your views.

Regards,
Rainbow

Rainbow --

I haven't even been able to find the year you found. If you'll give me
the year with the title and page of the Allis-Chalmers book denoting
the year, I'm still good for at least $20.00.
