About 5 years ago I purchased a bag of cat toy "mice" from a pet shop
in Maryland, north of Baltimore.  They were unlike any other toy mice
I had ever seen and it turns out that one of my 4 cats will only play
with those particular mice.  The last one has finally disappeared and
I need to get him some new ones.

Description:  These mice do not look like regular cat toy mice.  They
are gray plugs of layered felt that are about 2 inches long, 1 inch
wide and an inch or inch and a half thick.  They looked like coarse
hat felt glued together in layers and then punched out into an oblong
mice shape.  They were pretty hard to the touch -- not soft and fluffy
-- although they could be compressed somewhat if you squeezed them
hard enough.  They had little red eyes and a string tail, if I recall
correctly, but those features disappeared long ago and I can't remember
them exactly.
