Hello bawnboy-ga,

Please clarify what you mean by ?demountable housing.? I have a
feeling that different terminology may be used in different countries.
Are you looking for information about ?mobile homes? which are not
really mobile? These have also been called ?trailers? and are located
in ?trailer parks.? Are you looking for ?manufactured homes? or
?prefabricated? housing as defined by various government statutes?

Please give me some additional guidance about what you?re looking for.
The more information you can provide about the context of your
question the greater the likelihood that I can get you the information
you need.

I look forward to your clarification.

I am looking for information on houses which are generally
prefabricated. They would normally have a steel frame with some form
of composite cladding and structure. I don't know what the various
government statutes define in each of the groups. The type of
buildings I mean are often used for everything from semi-permanent
classrooms at schools, military buildings, holiday chalets and
semi-permanent homes that are often used for many years.

They could be timber-framed also but I do not mean your normal housing
complex house. They are primarily assumed to be semi-permanent in
nature, largely assembled off-site and often transported to the site
in two sections to be placed on a slab or solid footing.

I hope this helps.
