If a US citizen defualts on their credit cards, eventually a judgement
can be won against this person in a US court of law and US bank
accounts and assets may be seized. However, what of personal assets
located outside the US? Does the US court judgement give US creditors
the right to seize foreign held assets? If so, do foreign governments
and institutions really respect a US court ruling when no major crime
has been commited? Opinions and comments are interesting, but I'm
looking for solid facts here.
