Hello sweetshar-ga,

As far as I can tell, the Backstreet Boys have performed in Albany, NY three times.

January 27, 1998 at the Palace Theater
February 14, 15, 2000 at the Pepsi Arena
June 30, July 1, 2001 at the Pepsi Arena

?OK.... I have met them twice and seen them in concert twice and I'll
share both stories!! OK.... the first meeting: January 27,1998 at the
Palace Theater in Albany New York.?

For the February 2000 concert, according to an Albany Times Union
article, they did stay at the Crowne Plaza.
The concert's only half the show

?On Tuesday afternoon, nearly a hundred young ladies in waiting spent
hours on their feet at the lobby of the Crowne Plaza Hotel just to
catch a glimpse of their favorite Boy.?

For the 2001 concert, I wasn?t able to find the Crowne Plaza mentioned
by name as their hotel, but it does seem likely that did stay at the
Crown Plaza. I?ll explain why I believe that this is the case.

 - The Crowne Plaza appears to be the closest hotel to the Pepsi
Arena, only 1 block away.

?After driving and walking around the area for a while, we went back
to the hotel. As we were parking on the side of the hotel, a blue van
passed us. Another van then passed us. As we were making a u-turn in
the street, a fan's mother standing at the corner told us that AJ and
Howie were in the vans, so we followed them. The vans pulled up to a
local club called Jillian's.?

There is a restaurant/club called Jillian?s at 59 North Pearl Street in Albany.

According to Mapquest, this location is only a few blocks (0.23 miles)
from the Crowne Plaza hotel.

Based on the proximity of the Crowne Plaza to the Pepsi Arena and the
fan?s account, I believe it is likely that they were staying at the
Crowne Plaza.

Based on this information, it appears that of the two times the
Backstreet Boys performed at Pepsi Arena in Albany, NY, they
definitely stayed at the Crown Plaza the first time and they likely
stayed at the Crown Plaza the second time. So, I guess you could stay
that they ?usually? stay at the Crown Plaza.

I hope you have found this information helpful. If you have any
