How does an actor get his professional name included on his state
I.D.(NY)or any legal I.D. for the purpose of making bank deposits and
check cashing?

The easiest way to cash a check under a professional name would be to
establish a business using that name.  Your business, John Doe
Entertainment, can then cash checks written out to John Doe.
