With a 7 yr old , in the U.S., where  can I go for 4-5 days that has
planned activities, other kids about his age, that would be a neat
experience for a boy and his dad(not Disney and depart about July 27)

Are you open to a set (i.e. separate activities at different
locations) of planned activities within a kid-friendly vacation area,
or are you looking more for some sort of father-son theme experience
(camping, day camping, etc.) ?

Mostly a destination, w/ other kids, planned activities, and time together.
My previous searches came up with dude ranches in Calif. & Canada
I'll call Tennessee, and since small, check kid makeup and availability
