unfortunately as per february 2002 french francs are no longer legal tender since it got replaced by the Euro and they can only be exchanged at the French National Bank in France |

http://europa.eu.int/comm/economy_finance/euro/transition/exchange_nat_currency_en.htm According to that web page, you have until 17 February 2012 to exchange your bills and until 17 February 2005 to exchange cions. After this, 12K in Francs will be worth nothing, unless coinage is melted down. Just an interesting factoid. |
