How much does it cost to block search results that appear when my name
is used as the keyword?

I got a problem. In beginning years of my use the internet, I posted
on newsgroups. When I was a teenager I posted many personal things. I
didn't know about online privacy back then, they didn't have the
privacy tips back then. The search technology you guys have is so
advanced that it makes it very easy for someone to research history
about me. It makes it very easy for employers and coworkers to
research my personal history. Also, I have a very unique name making
it very easy to research me.

Who can I contact at your search engine so I can have my name flushed?
Also, what are the prices for this service.

Hi chilebean:

I think your only hope (and it's a very slim hope) is to go to the
newsgroups that contain the material you don't like and ask *them* to
remove the postings. I'd be surprised if they'd do that for you.
However, if they do, then *eventually* the material would be removed
from the search engines like Google (as they update their listings).

Search engines just index and provide acceess to information, they
don't/can't care whether someone doesn't like that the information is
there. Any search engine that provided a service such as you want,
wouldn't be in business for very long. (At least, I wouldn't want to
use it!)

Sorry I haven't anything more encouraging to say to you on this one.
