Dear wknee-ga,
Can you help me with your requirements on structure of this list, or
how much work you wish to put in to get it?

I can provide you with three web sites, together they will provide you
with details of museums and art galleries in the UK. There are in
excess of 3000. The trouble is you will have to click on each
individual museum?s listing to obtain the address and contact details.
 Does this meet your requirement?

I have located these websites already. My preference is to find a
printable list of names and addresses. I have searched a great deal
with little success. On the Museum Net page (www.museums.co.uk), I am
only able to get their list into L by leaving the search options
blank. I am unable to find contact info on their site. Maybe you can
assist me in retrieving their whole list. Thank you.

Another possibility for you. You would have to look up the addresses,
but the Virtual Library Museum Page seems comprehensive. The
Institutions E-Mail directory covers about 100 museums.

I work for the organisation that looks after museums, archives and
libraries in the UK. It is possible that you may be able to buy a set
of address labels from the Museums Association (see
www.museumsassociation.org). The best source, though not as a single
list, is at www.24hourmuseum.org.uk - an online directory of UK
museums - with some great news features about what is happening!
