for Janette1v. The concept of heaven is directly derived from the
Bible. Some philosophers over the centuries have put their own slant
on what it says and come up with some very varied ideas. This can even
apply to some major religions. Who is right?. If it is accepted that
the Bible is God`s way of communicating with man, giving man examples
of how he should live and relate to others, then God would certainly
have let us know about death in general. And He did. Ecclesiastes
9;4,5..For as respects whoever is joined to all the living there
exists confidence, because a live dog is better off than a dead
lion.[5] For the living are conscious that they will die, but as for
the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they
anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been
forgotten.[6] Also their love and their hate and their jealously have
already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite
in anything that has to be done UNDER THE SUN.
This scripture exactly sets out that when we die, we cease to exist.
But we remain in God`s memory, and He has the power to resurrect us,
through his son Jesus, as shown, again in the Bible, when Jesus
resurrected Lazarus, to show the world he had God`s backing. He did
nothing of his own initiative. He stated that himself at John 5;19,30,
7;28, 8;28,42. When in the process of dying, to travel down a long
corridor to a bright light to a nothingness that the bible shows, does
not make sense. The light at the end of the tunnel, falsely promises
an existence after death, which the Bible denies. IF it is
experienced, it promotes a false hope. And that points straight at the
best promoter of false hope and the worlds champion liar, Satan
himself. And if you want to know where he is, have a look at
Revelation 12;9. Don`t just take my word for it. Look it up!. |
