The Roam Office verdict on Freeconference.com:
Highly Recommended
Superb line quality
?The technology, in the 18 teleconferences that I have scheduled and
managed since I started using the service, has been absolutely
flawless for both the Standard and the Premium service. Line quality
is superb, and there have been no dropped calls or the odd noises and
gaps that I have heard on other provider?s services. I?ve used it for
conferences ranging in length from a half hour to nearly two hours,
with up to ten participants at a time, and it works like a charm.?

FreeConference.com Found on Kevin Kelly's Cool Tools Feb 2004 archive:
They staed that the voice quality has always been excellent
?A great dial-in teleconferencing solution for free. You just set up
your call as little as 90 minutes in advance and distribute the
call-in number to the folks calling. The organizer pays nothing, and
participants pay only their usual long distance, which should be
extremely cheap (particularly with the new flat-rate plans). The voice
quality has always been excellent. In six months of use this
teleconference service has never failed me one iota. I skip the bells
and whistle services they offer. Since they don't charge anything on
your phone bill, or take your credit card number for their free
service, they hope to make money on premium services, or maybe by
selling ads in the future.
Anyway you can't go wrong with this one.?
?I've used this service and it is excellent. In fact is the clearest
teleconferencing I've taken part in. ? KK?

Testimonials from The ESQlawtech Weekly - dedicated to law office technology tips
?A company, aptly called "Freeconference.com", offers an incredible
web based telephone conferencing service that costs you and
participants only the cost of the long distance charge.
When I was first introduced to this company, I was very skeptical
about the quality of the service. I simply could not understand how
they could offer such a substantial service for free.
(..)
Freeconference.com allows you to schedule your conference, send out
invitations by email, including an agenda for the meeting, and receive
RSVP's from your participants, all from your web browser. This is no
scaled down version of the services we usually pay $.18 cents a minute
to have either.?
(..)
?I have found the service to be a perfect way to conduct smaller
conference calls more conveniently than arranging them with the paid
service providers, and certainly more cost effective.?

?I actually used Freeconference.com to do a telephone conference with
our foursome over the weekend, and it worked great. I know you'll like
this.?

?For those of you who are wondering, we do not use this service for
our teleseminars only because of capacity issues. Our teleseminars
allow us to put up to 300 participants on the call at the same time,
and based on our previous polling, we expect to fill those seats
pretty regularly. I do use it for calls other than our teleseminars.?

An unbiased review of teleconferencing services from FreeConference.com
By Markus Allen, Publisher
?My hands-down favorite is www.FreeConference.com. As the site name
suggests, you can participate in teleconferencing free and meet with
up to 100 people from anywhere in the world.
Record the call I'd give 5 out of 5 stars to FreeConference.com if
they offered a recording option. Unfortunately, they don't (although
their FAQ hints that it's coming). If (and when) they offer to record
your calls, I'll update this Web page for you (so might bookmark this
Web page as a favorite and check back from time to time).?
(..)
?Recommendation: Absolutely?
(..)
Pros:
- It's FREE.
- Super easy to use Web site...
- Flexible... if your conference draws more 100 participants, the
service finds open spaces (if there's inventory)...
Cons:
- No recording option... this is a big negative... I'd easily pay 5 to
10 cents a minute (maybe more)...
- Lost conferences... for some reason, if you don't hit the submit
button twice, the conference is deleted. As often as I use the
service, I sometimes forget to confirm the conference. Perhaps an
email reminding us to confirm would be handy...
- Isn't 100% compatible... some discount long distance providers can't
connect to the service. You might suggest that you participants have a
backup long distance provider just in case.?

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) of National-Louis
University recommends Freeconference.com and states that call quality
is equal to the higher cost services
?We request that anyone using external teleconferencing services
switch to a different vendor: "Free Conference.com"
(www.freeconference.com). As in all uses of the word "free" in
commerce, the definition is a bit loose: there is a cost, but it is
only the long distance cost of connecting to the conference service's
"bridge point".
(..)
?A number of offices tested this system for several months. The
results have been trouble-free. The connections occur promptly and the
call quality is equal to the higher cost services. We ask all users to
transition immediately to this new system.?
