I bought the 7 disk X-Files game (Mac version) several years ago and never used it.
I recently bought a G4 iBook and installed the game, but can't get it
to work. My screen is too dark even after brightening it with the F2
key. I can hear it start, but there's no picture. I'd appreciate any
help. I use OS 10.3.4 now, but have the integrated classic OS 9
installed.

Open the Extensions folder inside the System Folder
Move DrawSprocket-lib to "Extensions (disabled) - this i a new version
of DrawSprocket which does not work with Xfiles. Save it if some newer
games needs it.
Open CD nr 1 of The X Files
Copy DrawSprocket.lib to the Extensions folder inside System folder -
this is an older version which works with The X Files.

Works beautyfully on my 10.3.4
