Do you have definite information that the home has been sold or are
you just guessing that it has? The home is worth about $108K and the
land it is on is worth about $172K. It would have helped if you had
furnished her date of death so that probate information might have
been found more easily. I assume you are referring to the lady who
goes by the name of CHRISTY SHIELDS whose obituary notice appears
approx. Feb. 3, 2004 in the St. Louis newspaper, and that is how her
name also appears on land records, so when requesting probate
information, have the search done under both names.

It appears that the will (if there was one) for her estate has not yet
been filed (perhaps the executors were waiting for the home sale and
auction to go through before filing it--who knows?), but you can
contact the following for more information about that:

If you are a person or a relative who thinks you may have been named
as a beneficiary in the will, then you may want to consider hiring a
probate attorney in St. Louis to file papers at the courthouse to open
up the estate for probate and then having the attorney ask the judge
to order the executors to produce the will for probate. If you know
the name and address of the executors, you can send them a certified
letter requesting a copy of the will.
