I need the answer to the following: 2^1024

The full answer (correct to the exact number of decimal places) will
help with an installation/work of art I'm currently finalising. I've
tried Google's calculator and downloadable calculators for OS X but to
no avail. Can anyone help? You will be 1) paid, and 2) given full
credit in the documentation for the piece.

Howdy fehler-ga,

Just so there are no mistakes. Your question's subject talks of square roots,
but your question shows a number being taken to a power. So, do you want:

- the square root of 1024
- 2 taken to the 1024th power
- something totally different

Thanks! denco-ga - Google Answers Researcher

Sorry, I was a little hasty, what I am looking for is the answer to 2
taken to the 1024th power. Quite a large number I imagine. It's for a
project here:

Thanks.

fehler,

To solve this problem, I used the wonderful (and free!) 5000 digit
calculator for Windows by G F Cornwall. It is available for download
from http://www.home52365.fsnet.co.uk/bcalc.htm

The answer given for 2^1024 is the following 309 digit number:

179769313486231590772930519078902473361797697894230657273430081157732675805500963132708477322407536021120113879871393357658789768814416622492847430639474124377767893424865485276302219601246094119453082952085005768838150682342462881473913110540827237163350510684586298239947245938479716304835356329624224137216

Google's calculator doesn't seem to accept 2^1024.

2^1023, however, is solved.
