Hi Stew,
You asked about parking in the Oakland Airport area while flying to
Hawaii. I live in Hawaii and would like to see your trip here run
smoothly. The weather here on Oahu is 88 degrees, with steady cooling
tradewinds. Perfect!

I used to live in the Oakland area (Richmond) and flew out of Oakland
to Hawaii many times.

Here are some featured aiport parking options:

I'm wondering -- what's wrong with a hotel? I'm guessing Oakland is
major bucks for daily parking... Maybe $20 or $30 a day??

Some of the hotel Park-Sleep-Fly deals are really competitive: I
think there's a Hilton that you pay $99 a night, then they shuttle you
to/from OAK and include 10 days of parking -- that's like $200 - $300
of parking for free. I could be off a bit on the prices, but you get
to go in the night before, relax there, and they take care of the
to/from with their shuttle bus. As long as it costs less and it's at
a fairly nice place, it sounds great to me.

There's a bunch of websites that refer you to participating
airport-area hotels, with names like stay123.com, sleepandfly.com,
etc. But parksleepfly.com seems to be the most straightforward -
clearly listing who participates and how to contact them.
