Question ID: 369709
I had an Apple Macintosh running OS X 10.3. On it I used Office.X and
the Entourage email client that came with it.

I have since lost the Mac, and have started using a PC running Windows
XP and Office 2003.

All I have from my backup is the "Database" file that was in my
"Micrisoft Identies" folder in my home directory in the Mac. This
file is some 340MB big, so it looks to be my mail store.

How can I get the email out of this mail store, and into either
Outlook Express 6 or Microsoft Outlook 2003?

The tricky part? How can I do it without having to use a Mac, because
I dont have one one.

Hi!!

Can you post the name of the back up file with its file extension and
size, for example:
maildata.emd
etc.
Any other info will be great

Thank you.

There is no extension on the file.

It was located in my home directory in the subfolders
"\Documents\Microsoft User Data\Office X Identities\Main Identity" and
was called "Databas". This directory also contained files named
"Rules" and "Database Cache" and other such files. All were without
extension names.

Hello. You need a program to do that. (canīt do it manually.)

Download Export-Import Entourage X.
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/15279

Its shareware, but cost 20$. Its very cheap and will work perfect for you.

I exported my contact db to outlook express without any problem. (1 gb)

Hope this helps. Let me know if you still have any question.

Good Luck.
