I am trying to buy this Casio Watch GL130TC-7 Triple Crown of Surfing
Hawaii pearl white watch, but have not had any luck locating it online...

http://watchsense.co.kr/shop/largeimage.php?item_id=1400

Everybody I have contacted does not have it as current inventory...
Please help... I have included a few links for you to see the watch I
am trying to get. I posted this question earlier and I already had
someone reply to this question and he did not contact the seller to
insure that they had the watch in stock so I am out my $15.00 so this
is why I am posting the question again. Please do not reply to this
message if you have not verified by contacting the seller to insure
the item is in stock and I can order it and have it shipped to the
United States?

I know that this watch is discontinued but somebody has to have it out
there... I found this Korean site that has is listed, but I can't
speak Korean to order it. So I am not sure if they actually have it in
their current inventory...

I know that the link below claims that they have it in stock but I
called them and they do not carry any G-SHOCK watches any more...

Greetings Surfing_california_c:

I have located the watch you seek on auction at Ebay UK! The auction
has 5 days, 22 hours to go and is located at
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31387&item=4909584797&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

The current bid for the watch is $51 - I cannot predict if you will
win the auction but I am going to go ahead and post this information
as an answer.

I trust you to be honorable and, if it turns out that you do *not* win
the auction, simply let me know through a clarification here and I
will then contact the editors and request this answer be removed.

Of course, I want you to win the bid and be totally pleased with my
service! :) I closely compared the image you provided with this
auction and the watches seem identical. The auction text, however,
failed to include the model number. I found the auction from the
"triple crown of surfing" reference.

I thank you for your patience and I'm happy I could find you this
seemingly rare watch...good luck on winning the bid!

Best regards,
journalist-ga

PS I did not contact the auction provider as the watch is currently
offered as available on Ebay. Dates are current.

CORRECTION: I just noticed it's not Ebay UK, it's Ebay US. Sorry for
the confusion. :) I was also checking Ebay UK and mixed up the
reference.

So what happened you ask?

Casio GL130TC-7 Triple Crown of Surfing Hawaii pearl white watch FINDERS FEE $$$

I originally bought this exact watch sometime in 2000, and on July 4,
2004 I was out surfing in Del Mar, CA. and some how I lost it while
surfing. I am not a person that puts value in monetary items so I was
absolutely sure that I would never locate this watch again because it
was a limited edition watch and is no longer being made.

When journalist-ga had replied to my posting claiming to locate the watch on Ebay,

“I have located the watch you seek on auction at Ebay UK! The auction
has 5 days, 22 hours to go and is located at
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31387&item=4909584797&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW”,

I was not happy!

I am an avid Ebay user and I even searched on Ebay the same day that
I lost my watch, but I think the auction was posted just shortly after
my searching. I was quite surprised to see that somebody else had
located the actual item I wanted on Ebay, after I had previously
searched all the Casio Watch Auctions. I was then skeptical about the
whole Ebay coincidence but I decided to try and see what I could do to
obtain the item. So I contacted the Ebay seller and told him my story.
The seller then said that if I paid him $100 (included shipping)
through paypal, he would end the auction early, so I did, again I was
still skeptical…

Well I received the watch in the mail today (July 10, 2004) and I was
amazed to find it was “Brand New”! I am so gratefully pleased to have
this watch again. It is sort of like the only monetary item I really
love, except for my surfboards or my Jeep, well ok its just one of the
monetary items I love…

I promised to give anybody a $50.00 finder’s fee that could locate
this watch for me and I am much honored to hold up my promise, so
thank you for your research and I hope you enjoy your $50 tip.

OH and by the way, I also promised the Ebay seller that if I received
the watch, and it was the exact item I was looking for, and it was in
MINT working condition, I would also give him a $50 bonus. SO guess
who else got a $50 tip?

Thanks GOOGLE ANSWERS…
I was a first time user, now a lifetime user…

P.S.

If anybody else locates this exact watch in the future, please email
me @ surfing_california_coastline@cox.net as I think it might be a
good idea to have a backup. Just in case…

Surfing_California,

I am so delighted that you are pleased! I thank you for your honor of
the tip as well - it's so refreshing to experience such a positive
interaction with a GA customer.

As I mentioned in my answer, the model number wasn't cited in the
auction so that may have created a problem in finding it. I suggest
you fill out the Ebay alert form with all the pertinent keywords for
this treasured watch so you'll be alerted when/if another goes up for
auction.

Thank you so much for your generosity!

Best regards,
journalist-ga
