I need a command line program that can create thumbnails for WMV and
ASF files that will run in a linux OS.  I am already using FFMPEG for
other video formats.

Perhaps the reason that it is difficult to find this is because WMV
and ASF are Microsoft (windows media player) Formats and it's a
Licen$ing issue. If you find something, it's bound to be commercial.

Well mplayer works with all the microsoft codecs.. so i'm sure that
there's a way if someone hasn't already written code to do this...
