Dear Sir or Ma'am,

I have suddenly experienced an issue logging into sites associated
with military training for AC3 for Armor officers at knox. Everytime
I try to log onto the site I get this instead: Internet Optimizer
powered by Yoogee.com. I feel like I've been spammed or hacked
somehow. The URL I'm trying to go to is
http://147.238.144.82/vtoc. Instead I end up at 147.238.144.82 or
above mentioned site. Knox sent me a copy of the URL (incase the one
in saved in my favorites was somehow corrupted. I got the same
results. What is happening. I can't afford to lose time as a Reserve
Officer fighting this.

Hi kenneverstops,

Your computer has most certainly been hijacked by the adware Internet Optimizer.

"Internet Optimizer is an error page hijacker."

There are a number of programs you can use to eliminate it - if you
are in a hurry and just want to try one for now, use Adaware.

Adaware (check for updates before running):
http://www.spychecker.com/program/adaware.html

Sybot Search and Destroy (check for updates before running):

Symantec solution:
1) Update the virus definitions.
2) Uninstall "Active Alert" and "Internet Optimizer" using the
Add/Remove Programs utility.
3) Run a full system scan and delete all the files detected as
Adware.NetOptimizer.
4) Delete the value that was added to the registry.

While you are at it, it would be a good idea to run HouseCall, an
excellent online virus scan which often finds things that others miss.

I'm confident you'll have things back to normal soon. If you have any
questions, or if none of those programs eliminate the problem, please
post a clarification request before closing/rating my answer and I'll
be happy to reply.

Thank you,
hummer

didn't know how to fix it.

Terrific news, kenneverstops, and thank you for your nice note,
rating, and tip. I was sure you'd be ok, but there's always that
chance that something quirky could be going on. Thanks for the good
news! Sincerely, hummer
