"Galactogil" is an herbal lactogenic product that is supposed to help breastfeeding mothers make more milk. I am trying to find out what the ingredients are, but everything is in French and the translation tool hasn't been effective. One site translation (http://www.vidal.fr/Medicament/galactogil-7281.htm) listed ingredients as galéga extrait sec 38,3 mg malt extrait sirupeux 480 mg phosphate tricalcique 480,9 mg Excipients : vanilline, cumin essence, fenouil essence, saccharose. Fennel and cumin are reputed galactogogue herbs. "Galega" may refer to "galegas officinalis," the latin term for what we call "goat's rue," an herb renown in France for increasing milk supply in animals and humans. I've been unable to verify this so far, however. |

Galéga is indeed the French word for goat's rue ("rue-de-chèvre"):
"Galéga officinal
Rue-de-chèvre"

According to this page, Galactogil's manufacturer is Diepal NSA:
