I am looking for information regarding historians (or army officers
acting as historians) assigned to ex-frontier forts in Central Texas,
between 1910-1940. Preferably persons involved in researching the
fort's history in relation to the Indian Wars and in conjuction with
the tribes residing in the area of the fort.
Col. W. S. Ney is a perfect example of what I am looking for, just in
the wrong state (Ft. Sill, OK).
Also, I am more concerned with information about the historians as
opposed to what they researched.
