Do you wish to host a website on a Mac, or do you wish to update pages
on a website hosted by someone else?

I want to create web pages and my own web site using web building
software provided by an online service (such as shoppingcartsplus),
and also have them host the site. I know Yahoo has such a service but
the site creation (html) software is only for Windows, so I'm not able
to use Yahoo. Before I sign on to a service, I'd like a reference from
someone who has used the service -- how easy it is to create the site
and how much support is available. Do you know of a discussion group
where this might be discussed?

If you do not need any advanced functionality (such as e-commerce,
streaming videos, etc.) then the best website creation tool is Manila
from Userland (see http://manila.userland.com). Contact Tom Clifton
at http://www.es-designs.com to get a hosting deal or try a free site
for 15 days.

No, that's not what I'm looking for. I want something that's online,
not a package I have to buy.

Hope that helps

I really liked iBuilt.net for creating a website. You have to have
Internet Explorer for the Mac, but it's very robust and affordable.

Here's an easy tip that will enable you to use just about any online
website builder. But first, the online website builder that I
recommend is at www.ebizwebpages.com.

Get a software program for your Mac called Virtual PC. That software
allows you to run almost any PC software on your Mac. Then download
and install the latest version of Internet Explorer for PC. Run
Virtual PC and IE for PC on your Mac and most website builders,
especially ebizwebpages.com, will work with all functions on your Mac.
