Hello xixi510-ga,

I?ve found some excellent sources of demographic information for
Fillmore, California but identifying ALL schools within 60 miles is a
much more daunting task.

Please clarify what you?re looking for. What level of schools are you
interested in? Colleges/universities, trade schools, high schools,
K-12 schools, preschools, or ...? The possibilities are daunting.

Even if you?re only looking for colleges/universities (this is my
guess) a sixty-mile radius would cover an immense territory that
reaches southward into the San Fernando Valley and parts of Los
Angeles all the way to Santa Monica and going up the coast almost to
Santa Barbara. Are you looking for schools within a reasonable driving
distance? Why the 60-mile parameter for the search?

Please give additional guidance on how to proceed. Thanks.

I realize this is a daunting project but it is equally important that
I try to reach the maximum target market within a 60 mile radius to
convey an important message.

I can tell you that an hour and a half driving distance would also be
suitable. This would probably cut down the radius by a little bit.

The schools I am mostly concerned about are K-12. Colleges and
Universities can be excluded if that makes a difference.

Any and ALL help with statistics, demographics, data, lists will be APPRECIATED

Here you can search a specified radius for schools by name, location,
and recently updated records (or all schools). You can limit the
search to types of schools, colleges and universities within a radius
of a specified zip code. Be prepared though, the search I conducted
within 60 miles of zip code 93015 produced hundreds of schools, and my
search within 1.5 hours drive time (or roughly 90 miles radius)
produced significantly more:

The search results indicate what city and state the school is located
in and each return has an active link that leads you to the school?s
name, address, telephone number and number of enrolled students.

Note that the ?School Type? feature option offers ?All?, ?High School?
and ?College and University?. Set your search on ?All? and it will
actually return K-12 institutions too.

Below you will find that I have carefully defined my search strategy
for you in the event that you need to search for more information. By
following the same type of searches that I did you may be able to
enhance the research I have provided even further. I hope you find

My researcher colleague pafalafa-ga also pointed these databases out
to me in which you can search within a 50 miles radius of a specified
zip code for Public and Private K-12 schools if you think these are of
use to you as well:

While these databases don't reach out as far as the one I mentioned in
my answer, the links to each school contain significantly more (and
better) data about each institution. I hope these help you too.

The closest I could come to demographic data was this. I'm not sure
how to use it but you may be more familiar with it. The lastest data
here is the 1998-200 school year taken for the 200 census.
