The answer is no , the simcard in the phone determines the number used and right now there are no simcards available with dual numbers or phones that could deal with such a setup |

Have you thought about diverting the calls from one number to the other? |

I believe vodaphone offer this facility here in the UK, so it might be available where you are if they offer their services in your country. |

There are a few companies that sell dual simcard phones. One of them was Sagem a few years back, but I don't think they have it anymore. You may want to check the following company that makes dual simcard covers that allow you to put 2 simcards in a phone. They have a list of phones that they support too. See http://users.pandora.be/technimex/dualsimcard.htm The only trouble is to activate one, you'll have to deactivate the other, in which case switching the phone on and off. Another vendor is http://www.kingtide.cn/mobile-phone-accessories/simcard-universal-simcard.asp But the method of combining the simcards is quite crude, you have to cut them into small pieces. But still, you can't have both networks at the same time. You can't have 2 networks switched on at the same time on a single mobile phone. Because GSM employs a challenge-response mechanism to authenticate your call. Any phone in the market does not have the feature of holding dual-authentication services. It is beyond the GSM Recommendation. |

You can check the site www.roamware.com/. They are a US based telecom software product company who recently won an award for their software product installed between Hong Kong and China. It enables subscribers of the GSM networks in Hong Kong and China to map two separate mobile numbers of the different networks on one simple SIM card. Smart solution, isn't it ?? |

IS THERE ANY GSM MOBILE AVAILABLE IN MARKET , IN WHICH I CAN USE TWO SIM CARDS SIMULTANEOUSLY OF SAME OR DEIFFERENT OPERATORS. IT CAN HAVE SWITCH OUTSIDE WHICH GIVE OPTION TO SELECT THE WHICH SIM ( PHONE NUMBER )U WANT TO USE AT PRESENT FOR INCOMING - OUTGOING. THIS CAN HELP TO AVOID KEEPING TWO PHONES OR ALL THE TIME CHANGING THE SIM IN A SINGLE FONE. HJS. |
