Dear Jim,

Like fp, who commented bellow, I found only various books published by
Sauer (quiet a few, in fact). However, I found no "real" biographic
information. Would you like a list of these books as an answer? What
kind of information are you expecting to receive?

I was looking for anything related to his life.. where born, where did
he study, when died, (if still alive, he would be 97, I believe) what
did he do in the war years? from his essay titles it's clear he was
not a Nazi. Where did he teach. (I'm assuming he must have taught )
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

Apparently, Sauer wrote his thesis in 1932:

"Der Welthilfsverband und seine Rechtsstellung"

Go to
http://apollon.hbz-nrw.de:4505/ALEPH

enter the two words "Sauer" and "Welthilfsverband". Click on "Suchen".

Would you like to know the titles of some other books he published?

In a couple of days I could try to see if there are any biographical
notes in some of his later books.

Some of the books by Ernst Friedrich Sauer on law and on philosophy:

1932 (as mentioned in my first comment)
1947 Grundlehre des Völkerrechts (preface: Cologne 1946)
1950 (editor) Forum der Rechtsphilosophie
1954 Souveraenitaet und Solidaritaet
1965 Staatsphilosophie
1968 Deutsche Philosophen (Spanish translation: Filosofos alemanes, Mexico 1973)
1970 Kulturphilosophie
1971 Metaphysik
1973 Axiologie
1974 Pragmatik
1975 Gift im Geiste
1976 Französische Philosophen (15 letters to his daughter)
1977 Amerikanische Philosophen
1978 Grundlagen systematischer Philosophie (8 letters to his son)
1979 Verödete Moral, Prolegomena zur Gegenwartsethik
1980 Benediktsregel und Weltleute

According to "Grundlagen systematischer Philosophie" (1978) Sauer was
a lawyer for 20 years. He then served in the diplomatic service of
Germany (consul).

Presumably, I need not translate the titles of these books?

None of his publications are currently available:

I do not know if Sauer is still alive.

None of his publications are currently available, i.e. they are out of print.

Second-hand books, e.g.
