Hi, papoose-ga ! Steamatic seem to do what you want. Their local franchise is: Steamatic of Baltimore/Washington Metro Mike Halkos - Owner 10024 Washington Blvd Laurel, MD 20723 301-206-3000 410-792-2200 Fax The Steamatic main web is at: http://www.steamatic.com/steamatic_carpet.htm Here they state: "There is a difference in cleaning methods! Most major carpet manufacturers recommend the hot water extraction method to maintain your warranty and extend the life of your carpeting. Steamatic's patented cleaning equipment uses hot-water soil extraction to clean your carpet and furniture without soap or harsh chemicals. How can you get anything clean without soap or chemicals? That's easy. Steamatic uses super heated water and an emulsifier to remove dirt and debris at the molecular level. Our unique, patented equipment delivers the super heated water to your carpeting as hot as when it leaves the unit. Our powerful vacuums then extract the dirt and water leaving your carpet clean and decontaminated. Your carpet is clean all the way to the base of the fiber. The Steamatic equipment is so powerful your carpet and upholstery will be dry fast too!" Or if you were game to tackle the job yourself, the Allergy Buyers' Club - who recommend steam cleaning - have a range of steam cleaners for sale, each of which they have tested and reviewed. The current review is at: http://www.allergybuyersclub.com/acr/acr_13.shtml#vapormax and the general list is at: http://www.stores.yahoo.com/allergybuyersclub/vapsteamclea.html I hope this is helpful. good luck ! |

I work for an agency called happy hands domestic cleaning we are based in Kilburn in London. All our staff are trained under the British Institute for cleaning science and the prefered method for deep cleaning is hot-water extraction. I would only suggest dry-foam for carpets that are 100% wool as hot water extraction methods for wool can lead to shrinkage. There is perhaps a few other suggestions for example the national carpet cleaning asscociation may also be able to help, or perhaps the manaufactures such as nilfisk or procheem might be able to help! |
