Educational/Academic is generally the same product as "Full". As far
as I know, and I work with software for a living, there is no
crippling of the product, merely different licensing, and hence, cost.
There is not generally an upgrade path from Educational to General
licensing, as the licensing restrictions are the key (You must be
student, teacher, faculty of acredited school to purchase at that
price). Of course, you're welcome to call Adobe for your special case,
but my guess is that they will either tell you you must buy the full
price *or* buy the "normal" Upgrade product. Neither of these options
will increase the functionality of the product you own (unless there
is indeed a new version of CS), they will merely move you to "License
Compliance" status. |
