I am leaving on a driving trip from Malaysia, through Thailand, Laos
and China in September of this year. We will be travelling as 4 people
in 2 right-hand drive, Malaysia registered 4x4's. I have heard that it
is indeed possible to apply and receive a permit to enter Vietnam with
your own vehicle for tour purposes. However, every time I have
contacted the Vietnamese embassies I'm told it's not possible. Can
anyone help me to locate a copy of the ACTUAL application form and
contacts of a government body in Hanoi that would manage/approve this?
