The website above is a great resource. I'm trying to figure out exactly what you are asking. I think this is the answer your getting at: light is absorbed by the skin, that energy is used to make vitamin D, and vitamin D helps absorb calcium, which is not only necessary for bone synthesis, but also for cell signaling, neurons, cell growth, etc. |

Vitamins A, D, and E are considered antioxidents in the nutrition world. Antioxidents help to fight free radicals in the blood. They make the walls of the cell strong to prevent the penetration of disease. Sources of D are found primarily in dairy products, red meat, and the sun.
