Question ID: 37274
I am looking for a Dilbert comic that ran between 4-6 years ago. It
was the funniest one I have ever encountered...and the topic was about
cubicles...and arranging them into a pentagon shape or hexagon pattern
to improve moral or something like that...you'll know what I mean if
you come across it. I will be greatful if anyone can find the exact
comic
and show me a place where I can view it again.

Thank you

EA

I really appreciate all responses. I do not remember if the Dilbert
in question was a Sunday comic or a weekly...in color or balck and
white. I do know that it directly delt with the shape of the
cubicles...and I think it was a pentagon...though it didn't have a
satanic or evil dogbert theme...like one would think from my
description. I remeber at the time that I had not seen a comic this
funny since I was a kid...reading a 1950's paperback of Charlie Brown.

I hope this helps.

Hey Decipherit...your great tip has paid off as I now have the comic I
was looking for. I would never have found out about the Dilbert
newsgroup without your lead...and would like you to get credit for the
answer to my question.

Why don't you reply to this question in the form of an answer? I hope
you do :)

Thanks to everyone who left comments.

Where did you see it, newspaper, or comic
book? Was is BW or color? Part of a series,
or a random concept?

[Trying to avoid reading thru a bunch of
dilbert books, hehe]

Haven't found the strip, I'm afraid, but here are a couple of
interesting articles for now:

Have you considered emailing Scott Adams and asking? It's worth a try.

Damiam's suggestion to go to the source (Scott Adams) is a good one -
but if that doesn't work, you might try posting a question on the
Dilbert Newsgroup:
alt.comics.dilbert
[ http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&group=alt.comics.dilbert
]
I perused the list and these folks certainly seem to know their
Dilbert.

Good luck!

I found a Dilbert comic that is very similar. Perhaps you got it a
bit mixed up? I'll quote some lines from it:

---
Boss: Mr. Catbert, our evil director of human resources, will describe
our new cubicle plan.

Catbert: Last year we reduced the size of cubicles in the
densification project. We didn't save much money, but we did lower
morale. This year we'll build on that success... with the patented
"head cubicle."
---

OK, I don't want to quote too much for copyright reasons. If this
sounds like it, let me know and I'll post the location as an answer.
