I don't know specifically about a panel 2 drug test, but since
tramadol is a synthetic codeine analaog that is a weak mu opioid
agonist (it also is a serotonin and epinephrine reuptake inhibitor),
and its metabolites are more potent than the drug itself, then it will
definitely show up in an opiate test.

Tramadol will not give a positive for opiates, according to the forums
at rxlist.com:

Tramadol is also un-scheduled in most of the USA, and can legally be
imported from abroad.

Just wanted to say thanks to both of you who have replied. While each
of you offered different information, the only way I suppose I'll find
out for sure, is to see what happens the next time I'm tested for
opiates with a panel 2 urinalysis. Frankly, I'm at my wits end
dealing with chronic back pain and recovering from Vicodin addiction.
I'm taking loads of prescribed Ibuprofen 600 mgs. and Robaxin 500 mgs.
The Robaxin...(1) capsule on "bad" pain days, just knocks me out (not
pain relief). I want to have some quality of life here, and left with
ongoing lingering pain, and under medicated, or just perhaps, not to
my expectations and desires, leads me to taking the Tramadol, which is
effective. Sincere thanks for your feedback.
