I am looking for photographs of bridges around the world for use in
materials for an educational institution. They must be copyright free
public domain images. I will need high resolution images for printing.

According to the 'fair use' section of copyright law (title 17,
chapter 1, section 107 of the USC),

"the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by
reproduction in copies ... for purposes such as ... teaching
(including multiple copies for classroom use) ... is not an
infringement of copyright."

So, copyrighted bridge pictures might be okay for you to use in the classroom.

public domain images. For example, the photos at:
