I need an Excel formula that will take a column of numbers and letters and remove the last four digits (of numbers and letters). Each cell in the column looks similiar to this: 101094M059 and I just want: 101094 |

Hi there, The formula you need is =LEFT(A1, LEN(A1) - 4), with A1 being the cell in question and the number 4 being the number of digits removed. Hope that solves your problem, if not just ask for clarification. Thanks, Deadlychiapet Search strategy: None, used prior knowledge |
