I am looking for information and photos of a diner/restaraunt called, Pastrami
House, that was located in Saddle Brook, NJ, Bergen County, on Route
46 west. I do know that the former owner, Anthony Giancola, passed
away in Florida a couple of years ago.

My mother was a waitress there up until 1974. Anthony & Kathrine
Giancola were her employers. I remember that they had two kids,
Anthony and Cathy.

There is a catering hall that is currently where the diner once was.
It is called the Excelsior.

Thanking you in advance,
Hobey

"CORRECTION"
Pastrami House was located on Route 46 EAST, not west as first described.

Unfortunately, neither "Pastrami House" nor the individuals' names you
mentioned returned any results from a search on the New Jersey
Division of Commercial Recording's Web site. Perhaps the company has
not been in business for a long time. I also could not find an
obituary online for Mr. Giancola.

A search of Bergen County Record archives at (www.newslibrary.com)
found three matches for "Pastrami House," all obituaries and all since
1997. Full text was not available without paying a fee.

You also may want to try the Excelsior at (973) 772-9900. Good luck.
