Question ID: 374136
hello computer gurus,

could I get a second opinion on these advanced tabs as to which I
should check/uncheck in IE6. granny's having a bit of a hijack
problem like so many lately. this won't solve my problem, I know, but
I have to do this in stages.

so I'm running Windows XP (God help me!), Norton Securities, Spybot,
Ad-Aware w/Tea Timer -- all updated and run recently -- with the help
of a kind soul walking me through.

below I've copied most of the selections from the IE + tools +
Advanced (except Multimedia) and if you could just type "C" or "U"
next to each entry that would be great along with any serious warnings
you feel are appropriate.

however, could I please just get this info from *one* person only and
could you speak in short sentences. granny gets easily confused with
this computer lingo.

my other problem is why oh why under my General tab can I clear
cookies and temp folder but it won't allow me to clear my history? I
can click on it till the cows come home and it just won't delete.
sometimes it will, but most times it won't. can you please help me??
I'm {-} this close to chucking the whole system in the dumpster.

thanks most sincerely,
GB
