Morningstar is offering their MORNINGSTAR FUNDS 500 publication for $ 19.95
($ 20 discount) but I am not interested in that since it will take a
while playing their reccomendations on paper and seeing if they
materilize. If anybody haslast year's issue and wishes to sell I would
be interested to buy.

I tried to go to Ebay, and they have what I wannt (Morningstar 500
predictions of mutual funds made in 2002 & 2003) but I could not
figure out how to place an order or how to cancel part of an order I
entered by mistake.

Assuming you are talking about half.com by eBay and not the main eBay
site, on the page for the item, you click on the red Buy button next
to the copy you want to buy. That puts it in your cart. You can
always get to the page for your cart by clicking on the "cart" link at
the top of the page. On the cart page, you can remove items from your
cart or proceed to checkout, where you enter payment details and
confirm the order.

half.com has extensive help pages on how to use the site, which you
can access through the help link at the top of every page. The site
also has good customer service via email.

With the information you have provided, I can't do much more than give
you general information like this. If you would like to describe your
problems in more detail, I may be able to assist you further.

I do not understand what "half.com" and what "main Ebay" are and what
the difference between them is. I would also appreciate if you could
give details how to remove items from cart once you are on the cart
screen.

eBay (www.ebay.com) started out with auctions and later added
fixed-price sales with the Buy It Now feature. Each item offered by
each seller has its own web page in eBay, and transactions are direct
between buyers and sellers.

half.com (http://half.ebay.com/index.jsp) started out as a separate
company and web site, and then eBay Inc. bought it. It's still a
separate, though linked, web site, and I believe eBay intends
eventually to absorb it in their main site. In the half.com model,
there is one page per item, listing some or all of the copies of that
item that various sellers are offering, classified by condition.
half.com acts as an intermediary in transactions, collecting from
buyers and paying sellers.

On the half.com cart page, there is a list of all the items in the
cart under a white on orange "Shopping Cart" heading. To remove an
item from the cart, click on the "Remove from Cart" link at the bottom
of the list entry for the item. If you don't complete and confirm the
order, half.com will automatically empty the cart after some period of
time. The length of this period does not seem to be documented in
their help pages, but it is probably a matter of hours.

The help page on the shopping cart:

http://half.ebay.com/help/index.cfm?helpsection=cart

I hope this helps.

Thank you for your answer but I am still confused although I managed
to get Morningsar 500 plus something else I did not intend to buy by
hitting keys without exactly knowing what I am doing. I would highly
appreciate if you could explain:
Once I find a product how do I put it in the cart and proceed to checkout.?
If I mistakingly put an unwanted item in the cart how do I remove it?
Does Ebay have an e-mail address?
Does Ebay have a tecnical support or other telephone number?

The half.com page for a book lists various copies for sale, sorted by
condition and price. On the row for each copy, the first thing is the
price, and then there is a red button labeled "Buy!" in white letters.
Click on that button to put that copy in your cart.

This will take you to the Shopping Cart page. To get to checkout from
there, click on one of the two big red "Proceed to Checkout" buttons
on the right-hand side of the Shopping Cart page.

To remove an item from the cart, click on the "Remove from Cart" link
at the bottom of the list entry for the item on the Shopping Cart
page.

I could not find an email address for half.com. If you use their Help
Wizard, select a question, and look at the answer, if you click on a
"contact Customer Service" link, you can get to a page where you can
enter a message to half.com customer service. They will reply via
email.

http://half.ebay.com/help/index.cfm?helpsection=help_wizard_q

The main eBay site has a similar system.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/contact_inline/index.html

eBay also has live help, where you can type in questions and get a
response from a live person through the web.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/n-livehelp.html

eBay does not seem to have telephone support except for Power Sellers.

http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jsp?forum=145&thread=2231811&modified=1088454763395

eBay certainly has telephone numbers, but they are unlikely to provide
technical support on the telephone.

You have answered it as comprehensively as can be expected, thanks,
and I will rate it now since it will take too long to examine and
apply all the information.
