I lost my internet Explorer favorites (which I need) when I switched
from Mac OS 9.2.2 to OS 10.3.4. I have looked through my System
Folder and I can't find any preferences (which is where I found my
Netscape favorites when I switched and I was able to just drag and
drop them in the new System 10 folder for Netscape)that have to do
with my personal favorites. Where ARE my Internet Explorer Favorites
and how do I get them to my current Internet Explorer browser?

Hello.

Your Internet Explorer favorites from OS 9 should be in a folder
called "Explorer" insdie the "Preferences" folder inside your OS 9
"System" folder. The file is called "Favorites.html."

In other words, the path is:
OS 9 System folder -> Preferences folder -> Explorer folder -> Favorites.html

Once you find that "Favorites.html" file, it's quite easy to use it in
your current Explorer browser. Simply drag the older Favorites.html
into the "Explorer" folder in the "Preferences" folder in the folder
called "OS X Library" on your hard drive.

In other words, the path is:
OS X Library folder -> Preferences folder -> Explorer folder -> Favorites.html

There should already be an existing Favorites.html in the spot, so you
will be asked whether you want to replace it with the older item. You
press the "replace" button. Next time you launch Explorer in OS X,
you should see your old bookmarks.

The same basic approach is recommended in these various newsgroup postings:
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=%22os%20x%20library%22%20explorer%20favorites.html&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&sa=N&tab=wg

-----
search strategy:
"os x library" explorer favorites.html

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please use the "request
clarification" feature to let me know. Thanks and good luck!

Sorry for that typo in the first sentence:

insdie = inside

I didn't know that every user has a different library and the answer
didn't say that, so I had to go looking for where in the world the
System 10 library with that particular preferences folder was to be
found. I did find it, eventually, and then was able to follow the
directions. Thanks! I really appreciate the help!
