My father owns an inactive legally incorporated Canadian company. It is either registered at the national level of Canada, or the provincial level of Quebec. This company has been inactive for many years. The only thing it might do is rent a P.O. box every year. I believe that it has no assets or liabilities. My father has agreed to sign it over to me so that I become the legal owner. What steps need to be taken for me to become the legal owner of this company? What is the procedure? If a lawyer, notary or some other professional is required, please provide contact info for an English speaking one in the western half of Montreal Island who can assist us to make this happen. |
