I am trying to track down an article in a magazine (possibly Newsweek
or Time) that I had read some time back. It was written in the first
person and the author described how he fell in love with the game of
poker as he was fighting cancer. He referred to how he correlated the
chances of winning a hand and winning his fight with cancer.
How can I get a hold of this article?

Dear rakrasnaya-ga,
The article is titled: A POKER PLAYER'S GUIDE TO BEATING CANCER by
Nick Kurzon. It was published in Newsweek on 19 January 2004. A copy
is reproduced on the Daily Star web site.

An image of the author and article also appears on this site. (It
keeps crashing on my browser, so the best of luck).
