Hi, I have another problem. My Toshiba PC has windoews MX and Word
2000. Symptoms are = When you try to start Word, you may receive the
following error message: "Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" I did exactly as
explained in the URL
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;326510
I tried to find winword or Normal.dot, but I could not find both.
This problem happens immediately after the word files open. If you
have time please help me solve the problem. |

zaker,
Check to make sure your system is not Hiding File Extensions:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsME/using/workingefficiently/tips/extensions_on.asp
Then Search for Normal.dot in C:\
Rename any occurrences to OldNormal.dot .
Let me know if this does the trick.

Try running Word, and when you get the message, click "Click here" to
get the specific error message, and post it here.
